Rabbit Mountain

Dog Friendly

Rabbit Mountain and its associated trail area provide relatively easy short hikes with one of the best vista views in the region. Rabbit mountain is a very open area with little tree cover and is well known in the area for it's population of rattlesnakes and bull snakes. It's also a popular mountain biking trail area. But the views of the continental divide and the open plains make coming here worthwhile.

There are two main trails in the Rabbit Mountain Park. The first is Little Thompson Overlook with a view of Little Thompson Canyon at the end of the trail. The second trail is Eagle Wind trail, heading in the opposite direction and providing excellent views of the Rockies including Mount Meeker and Longs Peak as you make your way around Rabbit Mountain.
