Meyer's Homestead is a very nice meadow trail just up Flagstaff road from Boulder. Meyer's Homestead is part of the Walker Ranch Open Space.
The trail is a wide trail with little in the way of technical challenge. The trail is all incline to the end, and is a nice steady downhill all the way back. For mountain biking this is probably more of a scenic ride and isn't a bad spot to start getting your lungs if you are new to mountain biking at this elevation. It's a fun 2.6 miles of descent on the way out.
Not far in you'll come across an old hay barn built by James Walker. Most of the trail is in a meadow setting that passes through wooded areas and is a great place for bird watching and wildflowers. Towards the end of the trail you'll pass through a nice Aspen grove that is excellent in the fall. The end of the trail provides a view of the mountains to the west. On weekdays you are likely to have the place almost to yourself .

Much of the trail is uncovered, so wear sunscreen. Good trail for getting your spring lungs after a winter biking layoff. |

Directions to Meyer's Homestead Trail
Meyer's Homestead is located about 7.5 miles west of Chautauqua Park on Flagstaff Road (baseline while in Boulder). Follow Flagstaff Road for 7.5 miles to the trailhead on your right. Watch for Deer in the area and on the roads. Nearby Walker's Ranch is 0.5 miles further on Flagstaff road on the right.
