Boulder Trails | Boulder Falls

Boulder Falls is conveniently location along Boulder Canyon Drive (CO 119) and has a nice short trail leading to the falls. There are benches to sit at very close to the falls and the creek can be accessed directly here. The area was given to the city of Boulder by Charles G. Buckingham in 1914 for "saving this beautiful spot from the encroachment of the tungsten boom".
Boulder Falls gets heavy tourist traffic and it is not common to have a tourist bus stop and unload to the falls on the way up the mountain. However, at the right time, it's a great place for locals to go and relax or picnic.
The areas beyond the viewpoint are closed and many people have been hurt attempting to climb the rocks and canyon walls in the area around the falls.
Boulder Falls is closed seasonally due to winter conditions.
